Healthcare Training

The center is focused on bringing the latest scientific and medical findings, technologies and research from “bedside to practice.” The center specializes in bridging health and healthcare disparities for minorities and the underserved. Primary areas of focus are mental health trauma, preventive medicine, specialty modalities, and crisis care. The center is focused on assisting the adaptation and implementation of best practices, patient-specific care and increased access to quality care. Learn how socio-economic models benefit all stakeholders. Training is CME eligible.

 

Training programs include:

  • Racial, multi-ethnic/cultural competence

  • Socio-economic benefits of a multi-ethnic/cultural healthcare model

  • Linguistic competence

  • Utilizing biomedical informatics and data science for translational research for primary healthcare

  • The role of healthcare in responsing to victims of gender-based violence
